thanks sully and sgt blamo for my defense. I left this out, but im pretty sure the main reason why I lost control so easily is that i had just cleaned my car and i forgot to wipe off the extra tire dressing off the tires. Just as a warning guys, always remember to wipe off extra tire product off of your treads, esp when your tires or worn.
people who have driven both the elise and evo say the all the same thing. Elise is by far a better and easier car to control at very high speeds on a turn. Evo is a street car, the elise is a race car.
yes the evo has great control, but not above the ellise.

Wow, this thread went down hill quickly because of a few people who don't know what they are talking about. There are several factors that could've contributed to the OP having lost control that we have yet to hear of, I suggest that you reserve judgement till then.
As to the statement "in a race its better to get the Elise or a Porsche", have you ever driven either on the track, or the street? I have and could kill the Elise when my Evo was stock, as to the Porsche, which one? I've driven several different models and blistered quite a few on the road course and in the mountains, although my car is far from stock all the way around. The Evo is an extremely driver friendly car, whereas the Porsche 911 series is an excellent car, but very challenging to drive and very unforgiving if you push it too far. My friend finished 7 seconds behind a GT3 cup car driven by a semi-pro driver on Sebring raceway, it was his 5th time driving the new track Evo when he pulled a 2:17 lap.

I took my wife's car to Anaheim Hills Autobody before. They did a great job and were straightforward with me.
