lets put it like this, if mitsu would have never brought the evo to the states I would have finished my 2g gsx and had one sick *** drag car. I decided to buy my evo and im not looking back its an amazing car and really makes me feel good every time I sit my *** down in those seats!!! And yes ill try to keep my evo forever, and yes i see myself buying another evo in the next few years.

Top gear showed an FQ400 pull away from a Gallardo through every turn. That's how you know there's a god.

The Evo is an engineering marvel, and once you've taken the time to find out why it's so sick, it's hard not to be die hard.

I consider myself an extreme Evo fan. I owned mine right when it came out, still own it and continue to build it. I have two remote control cars, and many models at my house and at work. But before the evo hit here, I was a DSM fan. More specifically the 2g eclipse. I owned two GST's befor the Evo.

Oh yeah, my race car for my video games when available is ......drum roll....the Evo!

For me it started in the late 90's when I had heard what an Evo was and read about it, but didn't know too much other than it was worshiped in Japan and the UK. Then my brother was working for Deutsch, which was Mitsu's ad agency in the late 90's-early 2000's. He was able to get that silver Makkinen edition Evo VI for a few days that had been brought over here by Mitsu North America for the automotive press to review. (It was features in SCC and a few other pubs around 2001 with the old Mitsu campaign slogan "Wake up and Drive" lettering plastered on the sides). I drove that car for 25 minutes that night and was totally addicted. My 9 is a little more civilized, but definitely reminds me of that amazing night back in 2001 when I was hooked, line and sinker. I plan on having a small car collection, of which the Evo will be a part of, so no plans other than keeping it...

I don't think any of us are Mitsu fans seeing as how they treat their customers after the sale. As for the Evo I do consider myself a fan because I have a great respect for cars that are built with motorsports and enthusiaists in mind. The X to me is a letdown because the engineers let the marketing and sales people soften it up for mass consumption and turned their backs on enthusiaists like us.

You shouldn't like a car just because it carries a certain name because if you do then you're allowing these marketing types to come in and do whatever they want with it. We need to tell them that there is substance behind the name and if they don't respect that then they can go to hell.

i love the evo but not mitsubishi as a car maker....i love cars in general i just dont love a specific car..so the evo is not my first car and it is definitely not going to be my last...not everyone stays young forever as you get older you naturally want something more refined...my net primary car will be a near luxury/luxury model not necessarily a bmw
