Need some Info for New Intercooler Routing Idea

Ok depending on its dimensions and if it will fit in the place of a stock radiator and turbo kit that retains the stock radiator i want to try and make a custom intercooler piping set up.

I want to keep the half size radiator on the right side passenger side and this way there is a opening on the cold pipe side.

I plan on either talk to full race with there vertical flow option and changing the cold pipe side to instead come up instead of go down. Its hard to picture im going to see if i can some how come up with a CAD drawing or maybe draw it on a engine pic bay.

Anyone have any suggestions ? And I dont want to hear anything negative like usual with most people. Im just trying to think of something that may be good for us all especially with a extremely short intercooler piping route.

Talk to full race first. With their vertical flow IC they have changed the LICP for you. My buddy's car was the one they did the twin scroll on and the LICP is really short

I want to keep the lower intercooler pipe as is. Its the upper intercooler pipe i want to try and re-route. Im trying to do a mock up in paint but it isnt going to be pretty until i can really spend some time on a nice drawing in CAD or something.

here is your biggest issue

if your radiator will be on the passenger side that means you need to run a hose from the drivers side of the engine AROUND the turbo kit to the radiator

that definitely isn't practical

my personal opinion is if a big name shop hasn't done it yet...there is a reason

when you see evos with mini radiators they are always on the drivers side

well IF you do the full race vert flow you will get the licp, after that, there isn't too much you can do to run the upper IC pipe better then most have already done without major modifications. I am interested to see what your drawing tho.

I think the reason why most shops havent done it is mainly because its a serious modification. Its not like your just buying a new intercooler and piping. This would require a new half size radiator, resources to have custom aluminum intake piping bent up, and a custom intercooler.

Buschur sells there small radiator with the option to have -10 or -12 an fittings attached so you can use Stainless Steel Braided Line which you can route anywhere seeing it dont matter how long it takes for the water to get back to the radiator.

I wish i could find .dxf or .dwg files so i could take it into CAD. Going do all the measurements will take me forever to get it drawn.

Plus on that side is the stock fan so this way you wont even need a slim fan unless it fits and you want it.

The only reason why im thinking of this is because i am getting custom piping done and seeing that i want to atleast try something different that I think will work with some modifications. And im all about Modifications.
