Extending battery terminals

Guys I just got a mini battery kit and im having a tough time extinding the terminals to the post. Can someone give me any suggestions who have mini batterys on what they done?

You should be able to pull on the wiring harness. Undo one of the clips that hold it to the tranny or body and you should be fine.

tried that still too short for the positive side the negative would fit but its screwed into the sidewall looks like it grounded can it be ungrounded

I had the same problem. Go to Autozone/kragen etc and purchase a battery cable extension. It is nothing more than a short piece of large gauge shielded wire that you attatch to your existing cable to extend it to the terminal. They come in different sizes, such as 2" 4" 6" etc extensions, so just get the one that best suits you. For reference, I went with the 6" extension and extended my - cable. It's pretty easy to do.

don't unground it. Also, you can flip the battery around, so that the + is facing the firewall if need be...that's what I did.

if your UICP is gettin in the way i just routed my cables underneath and cut a zip tie holding the positive and neg wires together. mine reached but it was a very close fit. But if you can get some extension cables then go for it........
