I need the help of the entire forum

Hi,

I am trying to track down the owner of the 2005 silver Evo 8 MR that use to belong to me. I traded that car for one of my current rides but I left some parts behind on my garage.

I have the original maintenace records, maintenance book( Mitsubishi dealer book), a set of extra keys for the car(already coded) with a set of inmobilizer (Mitsubishi OEM) and also an aftermarket alarm. I also have the original touch up paint kit and a few other things (original window sticker).

It would be a pitty to own a limited production car (EVO 8 MR) and not having the original receipts. I have no personal interest but your satisfaction.

The VIN number is:

JA3AH86D35U013247

With the VIN number you shouldn't have any issues confirming the car but also check this website: www.evoixgrl.blogspot.com to see other additional details.

I would appreciate if someone that is reading this topic and knows the car could notify the owner so that he can send me a PM.

The car has a concealed/ hidden methanol kit with controller (I concealed everything before the trade), car has also a new Twin Exedy Clutch that the owner might not be aware off.

Pics of the car could be seen here

www.evoixgrl.blogspot.com

Thanks for your cooperation!

Carlos

I wish all previous owners would be this honest about mods, etc. I'm sure he'll be happy when you find him.

Well,Thanks for the kind words guys. I did the same thing when I traded my WRX for the Evo 8 MR, that time I actually by strike of luck contacted the owner and offered a bunch of parts and also receipts, dyno sheets and miscellaneous stuff that would be very valueable for the warranty but he never came to pick it up.( I still have them) .

On this particular situation (Evo 8 MR) the BMW car dealer rushed me against my will to trade- in the car. I never got it well done back to stock so I left many parts(fuel pump, methanol kit, turbo timer, etc).

I do know I helped many evo m members before by donating extra parts I had. I put PJ'sevo8 on the road with my intercooler pipes, I also put Evomoto(Scot) on the road with extra IC pipes I had and I also put Ryan from Phoenix on the road with methnaol nozzles. I think if you are honest with the people you might get help in the future.

I also helped Evofunk several times sending him parts to Germany at no cost, it is about helping.

Do you think the dealer may be able to provide you with the person who purchased your EVO 8's info?

I doubt it. The dealer in which I traded in my Evo was a BMW dealer and from what I consistently heard they send tese type of cars to the big Mitsubishi dealers in Phoenix and secondly they have smaller dealers and/or auctions to sell the car.

Trust me, I wish I knew the owner so that I could have a good chat with him over the phone to familiarize him with the car but unfortunately it never happened.

I think we will soon be able to track the owner down. There aren't many Silver Evo 8 MRs in the nation and this forum is huge, further more I provided the VIN number which is esentially the "DNA" sort of speak for the car.

Good luck tracking him down, I hope you find him. I applaud your honesty! One of the best things I love about owning an Evo is the people, much nicer here than on the Honda boards
