I stretched it a bit as it was about 5k ago. Do a lot more drivin to my new job. I had purchased oil and went to the Jiffy Lube by my work a week before but they were otta my filter. Imagine that.
Well whats done is done.
I AM lookin "forward" to my new AMS stroker!

I'm getting mine changed next week it's been 5K and I had to add some as I was 1Qt low for some reason. Weird stuff. Luckily I have free oil changes at the dealer until 45K- unfortunately this will be my last.

Wow i am so glad that i change my oil every 3000 miles eventhough the AMSOIL i use is almost $10/qrt...
Enjoy your new stroker! and a question!
Why most of the guys who blow their engines, usually rod bearing failure go with the strokers and not a built 2 liter?

well the dealer says change it every 3k miles. Thats for a stock evo. So u have to think about if u have mods on ur car and drive it hard the oil breaks down faster. Thats why i do mines so much and plus i get it for 10 dollars

Well oil was really low and car started knockin. So I had it towed to AMS and I got the official call today.
One of the Rod bearings were in the oil pan and the crank is shot.
I am upgrading to their stroker motor.
Anyone out there that has the AMS stroker got any tips or opinions?
probably upgrade the crank and rods for starters.
