So my boyfriend may kill me for coming on here, but i need some help...CHristmas is around the corner and I really want to get him something he will appreciate and use. He has a 2003 Evo. He just got an Evo 9 turbo and new front mount and cams. (i believe) I just need some ideas....what are somethings that you guys "have to have" for your Evos? Thanks for the help!

 

what kind of budget you working with? Do you want a few little things or a something big?

If you are looking to spend @100-200 you could get him a nice shift knob if he doesn't have one already or maybe some Ralliart pedals or something.

If that's too much you should get him some Zaino car cleaning products or something from Griots garage. If you want to spend more it only gets easier.

 

Wheels? Intercooler? How much are you willing to spend?

 

I don't want to go over a grand. I am not sure if I am going to do one big thing or a smaller item for his car and them some other things. His car is black...is carbon fiber still good with that?

 

Carbon fiber goes with everything, you are cool there. Does he have a shop he prefers? Ie AMS or Buschur? Find that out, and get stuff from there. Very Important. We will help you. try to get a list of parts he already has, so we don't duplicate stuff he already has. We are here for you sister, and he is very luck to have a cool chick like you!!!

 

Well right now his car is with Jester, i believe. He likes AMS. I know he said he wanted vortex generators...how much do those run? Thank you very much for the help!

 

Not sure, 300-400? Someone here will know. Check www.lancershop.com and go to the AMS website for their goodies also. Try to get a list of mods that he has already.

That says alot. It looks like he has the "Power" mods, so the "vortex generator" is a good bet. Is there anything else he wants for "appearence" on the outside of the car? $1K will go fast, maybe get him window tint? another set of tires is a good one also.maybe lowering springs?

 

You know a radio is a very nice present if he dosen't have that already.

 

Seibon makes carbon fiber VGs and they're really nice. I think they're around $400. Don't trust me on that one though, I'll get back to you on that one.

 

I say bigger intercooler or a nice set of Defi gauges, if he doesn't have them of course

 

he has the window tint. Even something as little as the word "Evolution" on the back of his car. See I am just starting my hunt, so I came here for ideas first. Better to get ideas from somebody who knows what they are talking about.
