the only thing they need to warranty is your car's body and paint, suspension components and chassis. since the cam position sensor is part of the engine, then yeah your warranty is voided. what's wrong with that?

hmmm...I wonder how mitsu is on modified stock parts...ie ported exhaust manifold...02 housing...hell...I bet they can't tell the difference with the 20G-9lt swap...lol...I guess I'm hoping...

Yes, they do, that's the one thing that shines over Mitsu. When I had my WRX, they changed my wheel bearings FREQUENTLY (I changed 11 in a year) even though the car was lowered, had lots of suspension work done, and had a roll cage. Not once did they say they would not do it, but they did mention they would have issues if the head rep saw them doing the work for free with these mods. I think the Mitsu dealers are taking the warranty thing too seriously. A friend of mine was having problems with the transmission (which turned out to be nothing, just the shifter pin came out on the transmission side) and the dealership refused to look at the car because he had an exhaust on it. Not even a full turbo-back, just a cat-back. I thought it was the dumbest thing I've ever heard of.
