I have logged my EVO4 and need to know just what are knock flags. I have searched the net and forums and can't find the answer. My car logged knocksum which I understand and need to pull timing but the funny thing is it logged knock flags as high as 40 with my foot off the throttle. Question is do I need to take them into account when tuning? Also just what are they for?

 

I can't believe nobody can tell me what knock flags do?
