My son (an STI driver so I'm not sure I trust him) said that Mitsubishi had MR edition evos available in the US as early as late 2003 or early 2004? I haven't seen any used 03 MR EVO so I was wondering if he is right. Anyone here know?

 

i think its 05 06 only...


not 100%.... i know 04 was the first year they had the RS so i think MR was 05.

Yeah, he was definitely wrong. Evo's were available beginning in 2003. Maybe that's what he was thinking of.

MR's were first available in 2005 and they only came in Graphite Gray. In 2006, they they offered the MR in more colors. So, they have only been around since 2005 as far as the U.S. is concerned.

Mostly true but you could get an 05 MR in GG, WW, AS and RR. GG was only offered in the MR but you could get in in white, red and silver too

I have a 2005 apex silver, it was not just GG, just to let you know. 2005 MR are the rarest coming in silver, white, red, GG. When I bought mine (August '05), there were only 2 MRs in the state of Minnesota at the time.

 

My JDM 8 MR is a August 04. ...or are we just talking the US here?

 

Well US, but thats probably the earliest build date you would be able to get for an 05 anywhere. My 06 MR was built in Aug 05 for comparison sake.
