Lets stop with the name calling here...There is more to this story that is not being told...The O.P. saw the off duty cruiser pull out of the station...,however, he failed to see where the other eVo pulled out from... until it was behind the cruiser... Because this is a member here on eVo M I think he needs to be aware of the seriousness of this situation and realize how lucky he actually is...The OP clearly was trying to street race and tried to egg on the driver in the 04 eVo...The reason as to why the driver of the 04 eVo got close to the OP was not because he was an a$$hole by choice but because he actually got paced clearly because the eVo is not radar equipt...to see how fast the OP was going and close enough to read the plates of his car to transmit them for a routine check... take a guess to whom? I could only imagine what sort of instigation would the OP really do if he infact did see a 3rd eVo that night...In short CPD has the right to tow any vehicle in suspicion of illegal street racing...and let me tell you this...they will NOT use a flatbed! Next time be careful when you're doing something stupid...because you never know who is really behind you...

There is a fundamental truth about the Evo. Prices are dropping as Evo's age...as prices drop, the amount of Evos making it into the hands of younger, dare I say irresponsible drivers, is much more prominent.

Not to say all young drivers are idiots, but I was an idiot when I was 17 I drove like a dink. It seems that the whole SCC seen is getting that way anyways.....a bunch of brow beating, chest pounding cro-mags.

So how am I the @sshole of choice? When in fact, it seems your friend could've stayed in his lane and not came into mine and rode my rear end. Secondly to the guys just saying your stupid for speeding... I was going 45 max, and the speed limit was 30mph... so don't tell me that you guys that have critisized have never sped once in your car. I didn't or don't hear all this whining about speeding when AMS posted up their drag car @40psi on the streets during the day and night.. but I'm sure they didn't speed.. even though in the same video there's a race to show the power difference between their Evo and a 400whp Gallant. Also, even I see Mellon posting video's on streetfire.net... There's guys on here saying they raced so and so, to nearly TRIPLE the speeds I was going and you want to flame me for going a massive 45mph at most!... And also, did I ever say that I DID brake check the other EVO... no I didn't, I said the thought popped in my head to but I didn't act on it, because that would've been stupid for me to do.

So here's the cliff notes for the people just skipping to the end, without reading the thread first..
I saw and off duty cop pull out of a police station, officer followed to a stop light.. I looked in my rear view to notice another evo behind the officer.. Evo pulls around officer.. We play to a max 4500rpm in 1st gear, come to a stop light.. I look over to give a to the other driver for having a nice car, but couldn't see him due to the front windows being tinted (ILLEGAL IN ILLINIOS) drove easy for the next two stop lights, light went green on a light I hit it at 15mph, shifted into second and shut it down and coasted.. at most 45mph... other evo must not have liked it, turned into my lane and proceeded to my rear bumper @ WOT, slams on his brakes.. so close I can't see his headlights nore hood anymore, and proceeds to follow me like this aprox. 1/8mile.. then other evo turns off.

And just to add I have only once gotten a speeding ticket which was nearly 4 years ago in my old Probe GT on a back road in Ohio going to my brothers graduation party. So that being 4 years ago, which makes me 21 back then.. and now 25.. I think by now I'm not one of those punk kid that drives like a d*ck because he has a quick car..

Also Mods.. can this thread be locked, because it seems to be creating more pissing and moaning than other's experiences

 

Did you happen to read any of these previous posts??? The driver of the other Evo was also a COP, yeah a COP.....get it??? He rode your *** because you tried to egg on a COP driving another Evo. Granted he was not on duty but he rode your *** to pace you so he can call you in, you got lucky, very lucky. Nuff said....

 

I also love cops who have fast cars.....I raced a guy...um...at the track one time, and he tried to get me pulled over after he lost.

Wannabe, just let it go man. Around these boards, these days you just CANNOT win. Everyone is an expert, everyone is the best, fastest, smartest, most eloquent, law/God fearing person, so posting stuff trying to get people to side in with you will ALWAYS yield a group of people who will try and **** in your cornflakes.

As for brake checking someone.... I DO NOT CARE WHO YOU ARE, if you follow too closely, you are gonna see a nice tap of the brakes to let you know im not comfortable with you that close... Not actually hitting the brakes, just actuating the light... If that doesnt work within a reasonable distance, you are gonna get a full on brake check... And no, I don't care if it causes an accident, as its not my fault, they shouldn't follow soo closely is all im saying... I feel like everyone getting upset over the brake check must be a bunch of tailgaiting ****'s afraid to eat bumper....

yea thats me... a "tailgating ****." I understand your point, but you gotta ask yourself, is it worth it to damage your car, possibly yourself, and the other person? I don't think so. By the way, a lot of cops do this to make sure they can get your license plate, so don't brakecheck them!

 

It sounds like those cops could use some glasses .
