I bought rmr itake, my car ran worse then before,
Everybody here got rmr intake and exhaust, gains:none
well except a louder exhaust

my mods are jun cams 264 and springs, next is either 20g or 2835 turbo, and a programmable ecu and twin plate hks clutch. Exhaust is one of the last things I will replace. Ill go with either ralliart or hks.

ps why would anybody waste 400+ bucks just to reflash the ecu,
you can get programmable ecu for $800. just my .02 cents

I got gains of 50hp from the RMR intake, downpipe and exhust.

I didn't "waste" $400, more like I saved $400 since I don't plan on plugging my car into a laptop all the time...

RMR intake + downpipe + exhaust + ECU flash + intercooler pipe = 300 whp. Thus ends the lesson

yeah well im speechless
i raced a guy in an evo with full rmr intake and exhaust,
he lost 3 times. Im a bigger guy then he was and my evo was stock, no mods.
ecu flash? get real, youre wasting money, sooner or later you will need to reflash it again, or if youre smart buy a programmable ecu in the first place.
mod cheap, mod twice

I take a different approach to modding... I'm keeping my car stock on the engine and tranny for the first 15k miles.

My approach to modding is to look at the weakpoints of the car. That means clutch, clutch is #1 to go. Plan to put in an Exedy double plate, which is what most people like Ralliart OEM anyways. Then I don't have to worry about hard launches.
