Who's running coilover on a stock evo?
Ok I'm really getting sick of the ride height on my 2005 Evo. My car is stock besides a catback. I'm perfectly fine with the power the car already has but I also like my warranty which comes in handy from time to time. I'm just wondering how many other people out there with a stock evolution are running coilovers with no problem from the dealer? I've know that the suspension warranty will be voided but I also heard of horror stories where the voided the drivetrain warranty.
Take some time and read about the Magnusson-Moss warranty act. The burden of proof is on the dealer to prove that the failed part was caused directly by the modified part. So, in the case of coilovers, it would be impossible for them to void any part of your warranty (except the struts of course).

Bam, voided drivetrain warrenty.

who cares drop it like its hot and besides, all us evo owners don't need a stinkin' warranty anyway right?!
j/k - unless you plan on extending your warranty, drop it - it sounds like you want to drop it

Thank's guys....I've been looking at the megan coilovers and the tein basics. I make a decent amount of money but i'm not rich. I don't know how some people do it. Maybe the put everything on credit? Anyways i'm just worried that if one day my t-case goes out i'm up $hits creek!
Not true. Playing devils advocate, lowering the suspension changes the angle of the axles relative to where they were, changing their loading. Since those are connected to the tranny/rear diff, and in turn, the transfer case, those are loaded differently. Of course, this led to their failure.
