Dealership Dumbness

So yesterday while driving home from work my serpentine belt blew off into pieces. My Dealership had a flatbed sent to my house to pick the car up.They call me about 2 hours later saying that the reason my Belt snapped is because i have a aftermarket fuel rail??? how does that make sense? i just laughed and asked when my car was going to be done haha.

Maybe the fuel rail leaked corrosive gasoline all over your belt?

where do they come up with this crap? Do they think some of us are that stupid. But why did you let the dealer take your car for a serpentine belt? I would have spent the $10-$30 on a belt and fix the issue myself and safe me the headache of dealing with the stealership.

I would have expected a more in depth explanation of why really caused the problem.

Did you ask them to go any further into explanation?

I would be taking a trip to 'assist' them in their inspection.

Unfortunatly there are a lot of dealerships who just give poor poor service.

Ask them to prove it. They have to under the M&M warranty act.
