yeah i think the rawness of mitsubishi power is gonna end with the Current Evo's and the 4G63. the new models may look good but i think will always be a step behind in power/performance

It's unbelievalbe, but they're doing their job. Their job is to refuse as much warranty work as they can (even if the claim is eligitimate).

clearly you do not know anything about fuel rails and belts. the belt wraps around the fuel rail helping to secure it in place. this is similar to the way the drives side castle nut keeps the air filter clean. you should be grateful mitsu agreed to fix your car at all.

j/k, what a bunch of _____

They could say that due to a fuel rail and other modifications youre power output has increased beyond that of the factory threshold. Therefor having a faster crank speed and subsequently spinning any and all drivebelts faster than normal. Warranty voided. Thats what I would do.

your crank speed will increase via rpm...they would have to prove the fuel rail is directly related to rpm...that's a bit hard to swallow eh?

also gas in the pressurized form will evaporate before it could do any real damage to a belt.
