my first snow with the evo.... with advans
I don't understand how people are always saying you can die playing Russian Roulette.
I popped a bullet into the chamber, gave it a twirl, put the gun to my head, pulled the trigger, and here I sit as i type on the internet. Seems safe to me!
Seriously, that there is some great logic. Did you expect the car would spontaneously explode if your Advan's came into contact with snow?

i love the snow, had some snow fun the other night with my evo for the first time. Me, my friend with his 90 AWD Talon TSI, and my other friend in his 07 WRX.

yea last winter i was on the stockers...couldn't even stop at a stop sign goin 10mph...but this winter got blizzaks on and they feel amazing...so much more control. Only had 2 snow days here in jersey but they seem to do real well.
Even if you think you can drive with the stockers wait till you get winter tires...then you'll see what a difference it is.

I live in Michigan and drove a couple times in the snow with stock advans.
Wait until you have to pull a quick maneuver on slippery roads, you WILL crash. You DON'T have traction and no matter how full of crap you are, it still won't weigh the car down enough for the tires to grab.
Do yourself a favor and get some snows. They are night and day.

people will never learn... members on this board who advise others not to drive on the stock advans in the winter are saying it for a reason. Don't put yourself and others at risk because you are too lazy to get snow tires
How much snow were you in, though? I drove mine once in the snow and decided I was never going to do that again. I don't drive like crazy, either.
We just had 9" in Chicago the other day and are expecting an additional 4" tonight, then more on saturday and then again on tuesday next week. Time to break out the snowboard!

Speaking of advans, does anyone want to buy a brand new set of advans(stock) still has stickers on the tires. Just let me know.
Thanks
