Advice for another First time Mod

An '06 WW MR IX here.
Got Apexi Limited Edition Turbo timer, Cusco Front Strut bar w/ brake cylinder brace and Double Din kit.

Looking into 5Zigen ZR+ 20th Aniversary rims but not 100% sure... rims plus tires will cost about 1.5k.

My options for now are either rims or: Exhaust or Cobb Access port or Injen CIA etc.. I was reading on the forums that CIA w/out a tune is absolutley pointless. My thoughts about that were to just skip to an exhaust but I'm looking on getting complete components but I'm not understanding of this TBE lingo. Does TBE refer to everything including the downpipe? I'm wanting a complete system that is stylish but not too loud, was looking into the 1.2k Greddy Ti for the Evo (the one with the rolled tip) but it is being described for off road use only but has the noise level of 10-12db, so I'm not understanding this crap... can someone kind of lead me in the right direction?
So much misinformation on mods on the internet because people want you to go the Super expense route(usually "thier route"). Not complaning on "super expenses" so much but I know reasonable when I see it.
Anyone?

TBE = Turbo Back Exhaust. It's the best first mod, along with an MBC and drop in filter.

I recently did a Works 76mm downpipe and high flow cat, no change in exhaust volume, and I improved spool up by 400 rpms (as determined by datalog of load). And there's the power gain too of course!

If you're looking to keep relatively quiet, the DP and HFC will not increase volume at all; it's when you swap out the intermediate pipe and muffler that things start to get loud. The stock intermediate pipe has TWO resonators. So to stay fairly quiet, look for an intermediate pipe that uses at least one resonator.

You can always get a lower intercooler pipe.

I think you will be happy with a TBE,MBC,filter and a tune. But its going to be a little loud but not too bad.

Buy a Tactrix cable and then log your ECU, then send off that data and your ECU to ECU tuner to get an Email Flash. You will get about 30 HP and your car will be way faster/better. best bang for the buck....I have the Greddy Ti, if you want LOUD then get it ! I'd stay away from a complete turbo back system, too expensive for what you get. 2nd. best bang for the buck is a Test pipe(but it will add noise too/and illegal if you live in state where they smog test). Those 2 mods in reverse order, test pipe then ECU flash is best. This will get you about 45 HP and your car will be a monster.....you will be happy. The stock exhaust has been proven to support up to 450 whp.

Buschur stage 1 is easy and provides basic performance upgrades, essential to going furthur into mods. If you don't plan on modding more, a Cobb Accessport would be simple and has nice features. Going with TBE would increase sound, and a race (catless) exhuast would be illegal for street use. Depends on the future of your car. If you want more looks than power, then TBE doesn't make too much difference. My .02

Well, I'm wanting a modest tune as a daily driver. Looking for reliable mods, nothing too extreame. For an exhaust system I'm wanting something (components) that will increase horsepower to a good level with out being too loud. I'm under the impression I should either choose wisely or anything with still includes the cat is in the safe noise zone. I'm under the impression that TBE means Downpipe, midsection and cat(or no cat) and muffler). If I go CIA, will it be worth it w/out tune? I'm understanding there are no gains. If this is the case for both, I should just put my money on the access port, at least it would increase the atomization and get me better MPG right?

Skip on getting new rims. Evo's come with sweet rims already and they're all lightweight!!! Those should be a last mod. Go with TBE, and tune.
