I have an 03 and cant stand the open front diff so I need to get a Helical Lsd. My options are Stock 05-06 helical lsd, Ralliart or maybe Quaife if I can find one. I am all about track days and a little bit of drag racing and since my STi had one, its hard to live without one again. Whats your oppinion?

For a daily driver... I love my RS LSD. However, if I where a drag strip warrior, the Quaife is where it's at.

no, it's not the same as your 03, the 03 is an open diff just like you said, and the one Jon sells is a helical diff. Whether it's the same diff in an 05 and up, I don't know. I have this unit in my 03 now and I love it. Bought it from T.R.E. at a much reduced price compared to other places that sell the Ralliart diff. at elevated pricing. This unit has the EXACT part number as the Ralliart front diff, so you tell me???? .

Don't waste your time with the stock RS helical, you'll end up with shredded metal under hard use.

^^ Not true. The ralliart diff is plenty strong. Very very few people have damaged the front diff and it was probably from wheel hop.

 

I heard the same thing. Wheel hop is the killer of front diffs. So I think I might get a ralliart since the Quaife is twice the cost.
