Bolt next to oil filter what is it ?

my buddy was trying to do an oil change on his evo ix. He calls me and he accidentally un-did the bolt directly next to the oil filter instead of the one located on the oil pan...

What did he drain lololol??

Without seeing it, could it be the oil cooler line?

he is a dummy.. anyways. that is the t-stat for the oil system. or he loosened the oil line. just make sure what ever he did its tight. do it yourself if needed. dont want to say a new car getting an unneeded motor job.

Or is he talking about the bolts used to put oil temp/pressure sensors in?

uhh...he can do the exact reverse of what he did. that bolt dsn't need to be removed unless he was changing out his oil cooler for the new GReddy unit. the 28mm bolt above the one he loosened would b removed if he was installing the Tomei Thermo Killer...
