the demand is very high around here for MR's. people pay too much for them. hottest items are EVO 9 SE's, EVO 9 MR's and EVO 9 MR SE's. graphite gray, black, or white.

I have spent like close to $20000 just for the mods and installation on this car.

Condition is perfect. I garage the car and I don't think there is one scratch on the car. Oils get changed way more then most people ever do for their cars.

There was a superstreet article on selling modded cars and they said the best thing is to return it to stock and part it out(gets you the most money). If you absolutely must sell modded they gave a formula to caculate a fair asking price for your modded car. Take the bluebook value of the car and add 15% of the total cost of the parts on the car-not including labor to put in the parts.

Thats some helpfull info. Thx

So I took my Evo to the local Subaru dealer today to check out the all new STI that just arrived at the dealer. (I even got to see it roll off the truck) and while I was their I asked them how much they would give me for my car if I traded it in and they said $28000 at the most.

I got them to raise their offer to $31000 for a trade in. Thats not too bad I think since I had to swap my 6 speed for a 5 speed when I blew my tranny out So I have an 06 MR with a 5 speed.

The problem with a modded car is that many folks like me do not trust what most folks do to modded cars. Sadly most folks beat Evos to death and modded cars are often beat even worse than a stock one.

In short your modded car will be worth less than stock to many and you will NEVER see more than a fraction of the value of the mods you made.

A good example would be KingKyles car which is one of the hotter track day Evos I've seen period. Its WICKED fast and clean as can be and has maybe $80,000-90,000 invested. He is asking $35,000 for it and nobody had grabbed it yet.

Adjust your expectations.

You loose your shirt trying to sell and evo modded. When I was shopping around for my 9 I found 3 of them with 10-15k in aftermarket parts barely selling for what dealers we're selling bone stock with the same mileage or more.

You never get your money out of your mods.
