Thinking about selling my EVO....

I'm just looking for some feedback about selling my EVO. It's an 05 mr with 38,000 miles and a low 11 sec quarter mile time (high 10's possible). I have 14,000 dollars in reciepts for mods. Most of my mods are in my sig. I just had the transfer case Upgraded at John Sheperd Racing. I had a Green turbo and meth injection put on less then 500 miles ago. It has no turbo lag what so ever. It's a torque monster. The car is a beast and I really don't want to sell it because I just put all that money into it in the last 8 months. I'm probably moving across country and I have to leave all my toys behind. My loss is going to be somebody elses gain if I decide to sell it. I have all digital guages, a DVD player, and Navigation.

Sorry had to do it. Sounds like a nice car though. I'd be sick if I had to sell it.

So what's your question? What do we think you can get for it? I'd drive it cross-country if that was an option at all or transport it.

Quit thinking about it and come up with a decision. These threads always annoy me. What does it matter what other people think? It's your car, you do with it as you please. We don't pay your bills so why does it matter what we think?

If you sell it....hold out for the right person. Evo's are holding at great value right now until the x arrives. Our kelly blue book values are damn good compared to other similar cars. You have to find the right person looking for a modded car.

Also, I don't know that this forum is the best place to gauge the price of your car. Everyone low ***** like crazy...I do it too, so im not pointing fingers .....so you might want to try autotrader or even ebay. Hold out for the $$$ you want though...I hate seeing our cars sold dirt cheap with nice mods just because someone has to get rid of the car quick.

You will need to part it out to make money on your sale. Modded cars don't sell for nearly as much as the $ you put in them.

You really wont get close to that unless you part it out.

I think the only way you'd get 32k from it is ebay. If you sold it here with that mileage it would probably fetch closer to 27-28k. Your best bet like others said is to part it out then sell the car outright in stock form. I know probably not what you wanted to hear but its JMHO.

Yeah cept the kid that pays that much on ebay will never pay you for it.

Mods won't ever increase the value of your car. Usually you want to find the cars value and remove $1000-$2000 because of all the mods.

The only cars that sell when moderatly/heavily modded are rare cars that have been done very well. Other than it's very difficult to sell a car with as many mods as you have.

Just put it back to stock, sell your mods and cut your losses.

and your mods do not increase it's value

anything you do to the car takes away from it's OEM integrity and to a future buyer it is all the more reason to offer you less

like others have said...part it out or keep it if you can afford it
