Official EVO Insurance Thread
I pay $80/ month for my 2006 IX MR and $85/ month for my 2005 STi. I am 36, married and I have a perfect driving record with no accidents or tickets ever. I also have a $250 deductible and I have a multi-car discount and a discount for having my house insured by the same company (State Farm)
insurance threads like this really don't help much. you can vary your own rates a significant amount by changing coverages, deductibles, etc..., so people just spouting out what they pay really won't help you much because of the huge amount of variation. there are so many more factors involved in figuring out your premium that the one common thing, the car, is only a small piece of the equation. things like location, credit score, age, driving record, previous claims, coverages, deductibles, marital status, multi-car discounts, multiple insurance discounts (like homeowners through the same company), etc..., all play a significant part. the only way to really know is to get a quote for the coverages you want, which is free so you might as well get one. if you want the best rate i'd suggest an agent, they want you to buy from them so they'll work to get you the lowest price
I recently sold my 03 Cobra and looking to get an Evo . I just got a quote today on an Evo and it's cheaper my Cobra was . My policy on it listed it as a pleasure vehicle 7500 miles or less a year . The Evo I got a quote for daily driving and it was still $20 cheaper . It would be $84/month .
well it pays to have a clean driving record and to be over 25.... oh and don't tell them the actual miles u will be driving ur car. I have mercury with 500 deductable and i pay $123.71 a month before i turned 25 it was like 240
I just got quoted $158 a month full coverage on an EVO, as im looking to buy one myself. I just fresh turned 21 not even a month ago & the policy is the same coverage as the one I have on my turbo Miata now. Only deal is, I have to have my g/f on the same policy as well as my renters insurance on the policy... but $158 is worth it... plus it knocks my g/fs insurance from $75 a month liability to only $35 a month...
