not sure...

so to make a long story short...i was doing some donuts in the parking lot after work today (Bc it had snowed) hit a dry patch, car stuttered....stalled. didnt start on first attempt...started up on second. check engine light came on after that. car runs fine tho...so idk wat it cud be, im thinking something with suspension/wheels but idk. anyways...heres my dilemma....

last weekend i put on my first mods: injen intake w/uicp...ik the car was previously modded bc it had bolts n stuff missing on the stock intake, after market boost gauge and bov...i had some rough idling issues with the stock airbox, and after i put the injen set up on theyre gone, which leads me to believe the car was previously tuned/reflashed. i have a warranty on the car and would like to take it in to see wat the problem is, but do i..

bring it in with the intake on in hopes that they wouldnt void my entire warranty bc of an intake, put my stock stuff back on and bring it in, or would maybe reflashing my ecu take care of it? ive had my car in there for service once before and there was a heavily modded evo parked next to mine with a service ticket from the mirror in the spots you pick your car up after service...so i cant imagine he would bring it back to the dealership for anything if he still didnt have his warranty. any advice is appreciated, thanks.

i wonder if it had made excessive knock when it hit the dry patch?? IDK i'm no expert obviously .

i wouldnt bring it in with the mods. just in case especially since your having idle issues on the stock air box. it might be reflashed for it's previous setup. i would look into getting reflashed for your mods.

Try resetting the ECU (unplugging for 10 minutes). I had a similar error code way back in like 2004 on one of my Evo's and resetting the ECU cleared it. My error code was induced in a similar manner.

Take off the glove box to gain access to the ECU.

Unplug the ECU harness.

Wait 10 minutes.

Plug the ECU harness back in.

Reinstall the glove box.

Start the car.
