evo VIII ignition key

evo VIII ignition key

Hi guys,
I own a VIII uk model over in the uk here,
and the standard igntion key has Lock / Unlock on it,but these buttons dont work ive just bought the car and the key starts the car fine just these buttons dont work,i though it may be the battery so chnaged it but still nothing,
is the a prcedure i need to do to re programme the key?

Its the actuawl key that starts the car
the key starts the car fine.
Its just the Lock and unlock doesnt do anything at all when i press the buttons

I think his remote is part of his key, like the JDM keys.

yes it is part of the key,it has lock and unlock buttons on it,the key starts the car fine but the neither button works.
