help rainin my air intake

help rainin my air intake

sup guys, i took the screen of the hood and left my car in the rain.. ive had that screen off my car for 6 months with now problems. but today i went to start the car the airintake was soaked and the car felt like **** so i shut it down. i only had it runnin for 5 min. could i have done any damage to my engine and or turbo. i hope i didnt fck anything up.

LOL @ water inside. you mighta got lucky. dry it out and pray for the best. if it didn't get submerged, you may be ok.

I say your ok unless the water actually got inside your engine, which i doubt. It was probably running bad because your engine couldn't suck any air through that wet filter dry it off and try it again imo

^^^ agreed............just sit it out and maybe even change the filter to see if there is a difference. As long as you didnt get into boost you shouldnt have any water in the engine.......

You only have to worry about hydrolock if your engine actually soaked up some water. You should be fine. Do like everyone has suggested and dry your air filter out and try to restart it.

I would also change the oil to make sure there is no water in the oil as a precaution.
