someone help me..

so i have my lancer evo 9 mr n i was drivin it n on the freeway in 5th i was comin to 5k rpms when the turbo was really kickin in n all the sudden it felt as if a rev limiter was stopping me n all the sudden sounded like a hose blew of n the service engine light came on.. i was drivin prolly about a good 30 min before drving hard i checked my hoses n there all still conected n the car still drives n doesnt make any wierd noises.. butmy service light is still on.. anyone know wats up?

its deffinetly ur fuel cut....mine does it to...but i have a turbo back exhaust, thats y my engine likght is on.....but it will also come on with fuel cut...deff fuel cut

right now the cars is stock besides i have a greddy titanium setup with 3" piping.. how can i get the service light to shut off n how do i make the fuel cut of stop?

well if you havent gotten tuned then probably hit fuel cut because it was pulling timing and running rich with that exhaust and yes there is a fuel cut from the factory, your exhaust doesnt magically add fuel cut into your ecu my 2 cents

my experience the evo cel light usually resets it self eventually if the problem doesnt happen again. it will take a little while, i wouldnt pay for a reflash. i had my code erased with a autozone scan tool but right away it came on. after some weeks it erased by itself. you do need a basic reflash to raise your loads on the boost limit in your rom ,good luck.

if you're still stock and not flashed, why not take it back to the dealership. Warranty will cover it. When you bring it back put your stock exhaust back on.
