I removed the heat sheild cover on the manifold and im running soo much cooler. I usually run about 80 degrees C now im running 68 degrees C. Is it bad to run without it?

no not really. it just releases the hot air into the engine bay more than usual. take your gains though and run with it

Why would you remove it, then ask if it's bad? Temp drop can't hurt though.

80C for coolant is pretty cool to begin with, that is if you're talking about coolant temp.

the heatshield is also there to cover up the manifold from rain. Otherwise your header will get more rust buildup without it, plus you don't want to burn yourself. Another thing is is you're accelerating from a dead stop, you'd think more hot air is going to get sucked in by your open intake.

well mine has less rust build up on it after taking it off. Plus you still will burn yourself on the heatshield

My engine got cooler when I took off my under tray! Usually at runing temp I can't hold my mbc to adjust it,can't touch my upper ic pipe. After I removed my undertray I can touch it and its not hot anymore!
