Did I Go Cheap?
nah you went the best route. Hallman and AMS are really good quality. the greddy ti prolly doesnt make any more power then the ams exhaust. and a MBC is fine as long as its good quality. might actually be more reliable than a EBC
ive heard bad things about ebc.. not as accurate etc. and i wouldnt say AMS is cheap at all... top of the line.. i would of went that route if i didnt get a deal on my perrin tbe. which i think i just as good of quality as AMS i had it next to my buddies AMS tbe when it was off his car and they look very very similar bends etc. nopt many people like perrin... dont know why.
They may not be as accurate but they do offer a host of functions that may help certain setups run correctly.
Like for instance mine. I am able to adjust when I want the Car to start Spooling based on RPM, TPS Voltage. I then can adjust how fast much of a spike I want to do with peak boost and how much compensation I can have to maintain boost level.

There is NOTHING cheap about a $1000 TBE, so I don't even know why you made this thread. A Greddy TI is not as powerful and is only a cat-back while only weighing about 8lbs less. For the MBC, the only mistake you made was getting the Hallman instead of the Forge, but the Hallman is still a great piece. There's nothing "cheap" about getting a great MBC instead of an EBC. If you got a $30 Ebay MBC and $200 Ebay TBE, then yeah. However, you spent over $1000...
