Dim Dummy Oil Light
I forgot to mention the first time this happned i was driving through a snowstorm.
Something new crept up soon after this though. The light that illuminates 0-60mph went out once in a while. Like it'll be off for 30 mins then come on. then off again for a day and then on for a day. Now it seems that everything was fine for the last few weeks no probs. Then again yesterday night I was driving through another snow storm and that damn dummy oil light slowly lights up then dims down then lights up then dims down again constantly for about 10 mins.
I'm not too sure if my 2 problems are related (dim dummy oil light & the bulb going on/off for the 0-60mph zone). but this is an annoying problem that i'm afraid if i take it to the dealership they would say they can't do anything because they can't replicate the problem. what should i do about this?

Another question, now that i'll be hitting 60k miles within the next month or so and my bumper to bumper will be out of date. if i went to the dealership and got paperwork of my complaint and the problem creeps up later down the road, would they still fix it even though it's an electrical problem?
i checked the harness under the drivers kick panel and it's all fine. no signs of water or corrosion.
spumoni do you know what sensor they replaced? maybe i can take a look at it and see if it's corrodded.
The battery was just replaced and oil changes are done every 3k miles so those two are out of the question.
Thanks for the help everyone.

It is the oil pressure switch. Oil pressure holds it open. When the pressure goes down a spring closes the contact and the switch grounds to the engine. Water mixed with road salt could possibly cause a short at the switch connection and give a false indication. However, this is a known issue with the IX so get a new switch installed.
By the way, what is a 60 zone light? I never heard of that.
