Carbon wing peeled, is it repaintable?

The car is out of warranty. Do you think this could be repainted?

Looks like it may be easier to just get the wing replaced, or find a used wing of the same color on here or ebay.

Off-topic: Where abouts in Albany are you located? I live just north of Albany.

Yes, it can be re-clearcoated. My wing when I first bought my Evo used was much much worse than yours is, and I simply scraped and sanded the clear down to remove all of it from the top of the wing and resprayed clear on after masking everything. If you don't know how to paint, most body shops should be able to do this for you for a reasonable price.

NO, that wing cannot be just recleared the carbon fiber weave's are damaged you can "PAINT IT" but not reclear it. It will just look trashy.

Guilderland area. I see synapse tuned your evo...were you happy with it? Morgan tuned my old ITR did a very nice job.


I didnt see any wings on ebay, ill try around here, whats a fair price?

I disagree, if it's sanded and prepped properly so you have a nice uniform surface, this wing could be successfully re-cleared without paint.

Morgan didn't really tune it, he fine tuned a couple of things but with the lack of an awd dyno, he couldn't do much. They did an amazing job on the build though.
