Is it normal for the uicp to enhance the sound of the turbo a little bit? I can hear the turbo spooling a bit more, sounds nice, not like a boost leak. I triple checked all the house clamps they are nice and tight with plenty of rubber on either side.

 

I didn't notice a sound increase with mine.

 

Don't know about just the UICP but I heard a big change after upgrading all my piping. You hear the spool and blow off a lot more

 

I noticed a slight change in the sound when I switched to a hard pipe but I also put in a high-flow air filter too. However the change in sound was from the BOV not the turbo.

 

I noticed a bigger change in sound when I installed my UICP than when I put in my panel air filter and turbo inlet pipe all toghether.

I don't think it's leaking, car spools much faster than before and pulls nicely all the way to redline

 

I have the AMS UICP kit and noticed absolutely no audible change after installation.

 

^^ same. I'd be a bit suspicious if you can hear something after swapping UICP's... did you do a leak test, or at least a soapy water test? Might be worth it just to be sure.

 

Identical sounding to stock. If you hear something, you have a leak.

 

No audible change here.
