New Intercooler question.

I just got a Turbo XS Intercooler, UICP and LICP and my car now sounds like it is a giant high pitched vacume cleaner when i get on it. Is this normal???

while the car is idling? The custom shop told me that the sound is from the air moving through the pipes, not leaking out lol

A good idea would be a boost gauge so you can actually have numerical data for before/after installations. One look at it during a pull, and you know if you are leaking or not.

re tighten all of your clamps. i had a similar issue with my ETS and it turned out to be a loose clamp.

search the forums for a proper way to do a boost leak test, I had some major leaks when I installed my IC and pipes, had everything fixed after a boost leak test.

I would never take my car back there again I would be insulted if someone told me that they either don't know what they are doing or are to lazy to check the pipes again

they do know what they are doing, when i took it back i talked to the manager and their fabricator. both who know what they are doing, the fabricator created a nozzle to pressureize the system to find the leak.

boost leak test. I have 2 different sizes from testing my WRX. PVC caps with a hole drilled in. Insert a fitting and attach some hose. $4 to test for boost leaks.
