Open downpipe sound very loud on the VIII....It reminds me of the sound of a 18wheeler downshifting.....I tried it on an VIII becasue we were putting a turboback on and had the stock catback dropped.

Dang i have a TBE and the HKS cat back with the cat delete and mine isnt all that loud. i thought it was going to be alot louder, Im glad it isnt that loud. its just right low and mean.

Just get a drop in filter man, tbe and a tune... trust me it will be loud enough to begin bothering you after a couple of weeks :P

 

put new cams, intake, turbo manifold, 02housing, 3' downpipe and that's it from there. i call that the "open downpipe" oh and get a ANTI-LAG SYSTEM. and that's how to make it louder. goodluck with the piggy's.

 

hehe yeah, def remove turbo manifold like someone said. It shouldn't be TOO loud!

 

MBC- manual boost controller. give it 3 full 360 degrees turns, take your exhaust off at the downpipe, take you airbox off, get a airhorn, turn you music up all the way and if you want to get really technical take a fat piece of duct tape and wrap them around your axels... that should do it

 

Easiest/cheapest thing to do: Poke holes in your muffler/rest of your exhaust.

Second easiest, still just as cheap: Take off the exhaust from the DP back.

Third: Run 85 octane gas untill the engine explodes, it will be temporarily the loudest Evo ever.

 

You could also TAKE A POOP in your gas tank.
