Its funny how people refer to it as a 2 step.Two step is a msd product that has two rev limiters for example one for launching off the line and a high rpm rev limiter so you dont over rev your engine.theres also 3 step limiters launch,burnout and high rpm.

A 2 step enables you to have a secondary rev limiter so that you place both pedals to the floor when launching the car. Some 2 steps have other functions such as different fuel / timing map for the stationary rev limiter
