Component: ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:COOLING SYSTEM:HOSE
Potential Number Of Units Affected : 1179
Summary:
ON CERTAIN PASSENGER VEHICLES, THE TURBO CHARGER COOLANT HOSE WAS INCORRECTLY MANUFACTURED, AND MAY ALLOW COOLANT LEAKAGE.
Consequence:
IF A LEAK OCCURS, DURING VEHICLE OPERATION WHEN THE MANIFOLD IS HOT, COOLANT MAY IGNITE AND CAUSE A VEHICLE FIRE.
Remedy:
DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE TURBO CHARGER COOLANT HOSE FREE OF CHARGE. THE RECALL BEGAN ON AUGUST 15, 2005. OWNERS MAY CONTACT MITSUBISHI AT 888-648-7820.

Are you the original owner? Perhaps, if you are not the original owner the recall never got done. So they resent out the information.

I talked to people still with 95 model caravans w/ the bosch brake systems who never knew they did a huge recall on them. It happens in some cases I suppose.

Russel- do you know if Mitsubishiparts.net sells:

-Evo 9 or evo9 SE seats?
-JDM rear bumper
-a JDM rear bumper crash beam (used to be available)

I am the original owner, and I did receive a a yellow sticky label in the mail, which I already put under the hood. Maybe the dealership wasn't informed.

The dealers love these sticker recalls. The get 1/2 hour from Mitsu for installing a sticker - easy money. Hence, the notice.

i got the same thing. i thought it was another "reminder" to get that vehicle weight label that was recalled years ago. i tried to get it way back in the day, but the dealership i got my evo from went out of business and the closest one to my house tried several times to get the label from mitsu for me. they got it in for every other evo they requested them for but mine. i gave up after a while. i'm not putting a cow in my truck so i don't really give a hoot.

i didnt find any recalls for my 06 mr.. but i found a couple for my wife's 08 mercury...
