Not the way i wanted but now I own an Evo
Hey guys - can i sit at the grown up table now ?
Yesterday i finally picked up my GG ix from Norco Mitsubishi. From what i can see, it has JIC coilovers, an Invidia TBE, a JDM rear bumper, and a custom flash from Guppe-S. I'm not too happy with the dealership tho - i got a call from Manny on thursday and he siad i was approved and all i needed to do was come in can sign and then drive. I flew in and when i got to the dealership the finance manager said the deal was no good.
Here's the reason why i let them work the deal anyways. My baby, my '03 OZ rally was stolen on November 9th and recovered on Nov 24th, but was unable to be fixed by the insurance company ( some kind of wiring problem ) so they totalled it out for $5100.
Long story short - they were able to work a deal for me and now i'm the proud owner of the evo. with the coilovers, the ride is a little rougher ( i've never had a car with them so i didn't know what to expect ) but it is FAST. I've never driven a turbo car before either, so when i stepped on the gas i was really surprised at how quick it took off. I can see why one of the main gripes about this car is the gas milage. I made it from the dealership to my apartment in 3 hours - 15 minutes. According to the odometer it was 256 miles Needless to say i really like this car and i'm going to keep it for a long time

i got my Evo 9 MR SE from norco as well. i think the drive home was 2 hours. i still remember the feeling! i think Manny sold me my car. he was cool on the phone, but he seemed a little pushy at the dealership. maybe he just wanted to leave because we were there until 11 PM. haha.

I was going to fly in and buy a new RS from them but did not care for some of the communication. Sad that you were told you had a deal and were good to go but then found out otherwise once you were there.
