I doubt you will hit 400whp especially with out cams. but even a strong 8 probably wont make more than 350ish with those mods, at least from what i have seen. But good luck on your quest iam basically doing the same thing with a 9. i almost have everything and am getting ready to do the install.

if some people would read, you do have cams. I think if you get Meth/Alky with your setup you will reach your goals.

It all depends on the dyno I've seen some that read stock EVOs at 200 whp and some at 250+

i think thats a great choice in parts. as for the BOV, pick up a Forge RS to hold that much boost. even the JDM bov's won't hold that much psi. now speaking of running 25-30 psi, you will need to run that on race gas/meth/E85. DO NOT run that high of boost on 91 oct or you can watch your motor go kablooie!

have you ruled out running E85? you'll need larger injectors, but the gains people are showing w/ the FP Green are pretty damn nice. Meth is great, but such a hassle.

as for the Mani, just pick up a ported and coated stock unit.

next on your list, start saving up for a rebuild or stroker. if you're able to reach your goal of 400 whp, then your stock bottom end is just a ticking time bomb, just like Dustin said.

I have everything listed in my sig. Like others have said, just port the stocker, send it to Buschur. Good combo for parts. I'd say go w/the Forge Rs bov or if you can wait, Tial is releasing a recirculate bov sometime this month but will be price above the Forge. What exactly do you plan on doing w/the setup drag, autox? I'm asking because i don't see a clutch in your list. You can run 25psi on 93 if it's available to you, just depends on your tuner, as i'm tuned for 25psi on 93. Good luck w/your setup.

Your setup will be almost identical to mine. I have a different intake (AEM) but that's about it.
I have a meth as well. I hit 400 whp without any trouble. I tried several BOVs and got the APS to hold the boost.

You're going to always get the pseudo-haters telling you that you are wasting money, blah, blah.
Do what you what. My car is my DD, and what I wanted is a street driving car I can take to the track ,
not some "track" car that's streetable. It's not the same thing.
I make 400 whp with a car that's relatively quiet (thanks EVO2) and run 11.8-11.9s at the strip. Color me happy.
CAN you make more HP, of course, but at what trade-offs.
Only you can answer those questions for yourself.

sweet, yea seems like we have similar goals and purpose for our cars, i want mine to be daily driver and take it to the track once in a while. i love my exhaust, it's fairly quiet daily driving but when i punch it, it still gives that roaring deep sound

I think you are on the right path to having one hell of a car. I dont think you will be disappointed with the FPGreen at all. Remember the turbo will only produce you results for what you put into it. Meaning you put mediocre gas in the car expect the same results. Have the option of good gas and tune then you can expect good results.

Good luck with your project.

Tell your friends to get a better tune. The Green is an outstanding turbo. You cant expect to throw a green on a car and it to cover up a crappy tune or parts. When used in conjunction with great parts and tune is when you will see this turbo shine.

Wow!! I want to see the results of the 50 trim you are seeing. Better yet get your 50trim and meet me at the track with my green. (Statement made all in fun)

i seen ix turbos go on local forums for like 500 bucks.

if that isnt going to live up to your goals, just get a used 50trim-35r kit.

they are constantly going on the for sale threads for like 1800-2500.
I agree IX turbos are a great turbo for an VIII, however the green is still priced very good for the performance potential.

You think the 50trims are cheap because people are yielding better results from other turbos out there? Why dont you see a bunch of Greens Cheap?

I agree the Forge RS is fantastic Diverter valve to look at. Mine has worked great.
