A-Pillar Gauge Pods

for those of you that have a-pillar gauge pods, how did you mount them securely? i bought the dual a-pillar gauge pod from lancershop. i already installed the tweeter grill onto it and i had to cut a little bit off of the lower side for it to fit perfectly, but i dont know how to mount it securely. it came with 2 screws, but they seem to be really short and i dont think they'll screw into any part of the car. what did you guys do?

you sure its not an overlay type pod.......i got one from lancershop that was supposed to screw to the stock pillar...........i ended up cuttin it down and mouting it my own way...........the tweeter thing was too complicated as it was plastic welded.....

the lady i talked to said it was a direct replacement. i know the stock a pillar has the clips, but the one i bought doesn't have one. i'm thinking about cutting the lower half of the stock a piller and screwing the gauge pod into the top half that has the clips. i'll have to see if it fits though.

I was just about to post the same question. The screws are way too short to reach. I'm guessing some longer screws should do the trick.

yeah but where would they screw into? the chassis? i'm thinking about fabricating something that i can stick onto the chassis so the screws can screw into them, but what kind of material would i use?

Dual A-Pillar Gauge Pod

very slight spacing on top because of the use of the stock a-pillar, but you can't really notice it.

tweeter grill

cool, thanks. do the gauge pods face the same direction or they kind of angled differently (kinda looks that way in the pic)

im not sure if i understand your question, but the lower gauge pod is angled steeper than the upper gauge pod just so they aren't blocking each other from view. also, the gauge pod doesnt match the color of the stock a-pillar 100%. it's SLIGHTLY lighter, but you cant really notice it unless you do a side by side comparison of the two.
