Registration for this event will be here shortly, and will last the month of Feb, leading up to our event on May 10th. (Tech Friday night) at O'Reilly Raceway park in INDY. This is a new class for us, and you will still run the same disiplines the rest of us will run. However, this class is "Anything goes" with driver changes allowed, as are tire changes. SLICKS OK!














You will have to line up against some mega HP TEAM USA cars in this class, and you are the only "Group" to run on a prepped track- Mega VHT for you.

You will be required to run: (Trophies for)

1. Drag Race (3 runs, then eliminations begin)
2. LARGE and FAST autox course
3. Slalom
4. Racers carshow (actually your group parks together, and is considered your "Break" time.
Low ET added this year, and trophied.

There is a HUGE trophy for winning this class, and there will be 1/2/3rd place trophies also for each discipline. This will be an awesome class, and it is alot of fun to do! ALL entries/donations go directly to Riley Hospital for Children here in Indy. Good cause, great fun.

Anyway, if you want to toss your hat in this ring, let me know. There will be tough competition here, but I think you can mop 'em up. Time Attack cars/Shop cars/or any car in that vein can get in.

Now all the mega HP TEAM USA cars don't have an excuse any more!! LOL.

So we'll get kicked out for running to fast in the 4 qualifying runs and never make it to the eliminations?

 

No, you shouldnt. Maybe I don't understand the question here. LOL.

 

Last year I got kicked off on my 2nd run, along with four other people. So we'll never make it to eliminations.

 

I didn't know that! I know David Buschur got booted, (no nomex thong) I didn't know others did. Too fast?

 

Ya my first run they told me I was going to fast for no fire suit so I found someone at the track with one and stole it. 2nd run they kicked me for no cage. I'll be faster this year. Any ideas how this will work?

 

Get a firesuit with a built in PVC roll cage on it? jk. I will check and report back. Again, I had no idea anyone but Dave got the boot.

 

Yep, if you run under 11.5 you must have a roll bar and fire suit per NHRA rules. Sounds like this will be enforced. . .

 

Here is the official word from the track. He doesn't mention roll bar. I will check.

All events taking place here at O’Reilly raceway Park always have to abide by the NHRA rule book.

The answer to this question is: Roll cage is required for any car going faster than 10.99 or exceeds 135 MPH one warning to slow down then disqualified. If they run mid 11’s they will not need a roll cage.

Who lives close who also wants to throw down with us? Can you guys direct me to any sites I can post this on to look for said cars? I am all over the web now, but the more leads you can give me, the better.

 

Lets step it up guys, anyone...........anyone? Or are we waiting till the weather gets warmer? Someone knows someone who wants to do this with us, surely.
