Ya I would go with the 6000k the 8000k is very blue, but the 6000k you can still see very good and they are just a little more blue than the factory one. Or gett the 3000k yellow HID's i like those.

I had 8k on my jeep gc and they were to blue for me. My friend has the 6k on his civic. 6k= the right choice for upgrade.

What are you referring to as "bright as hell" ? Are you talking about when you see them coming head on, or the actual light they put on the ground? Our evo projectors are not the best OEM projectors out there by any means. I've retrofitted many different types of projectors from oem setups, and s2000's/tsx's/tl's will put ours to shame.

Not all projectors used in OEM HID setups are created equal, or perform equally. Some have sharper cutoff's inside the projector housings, which will equate to alot of blue/purple color. You'll really notice this when you see a car coming head on, and the "cutoff" is level with your eyes. Again, the HID bulbs are the same color temp (4100-4300k), it's all in the design of the projector itself.

If you are willing to learn anything about HID's, this is the site to go:

And to answer another question, anything over 4300k, and you start losing lumens, which equates to less light on the road. If you care about color (which IMO is plain stupid) I wouldn't recommend anything higher than 6000k. Preferrably the Philips Ultinon bulbs. $$$$$.

Yeah i meant to the road. And obviously they are not all the same hense my original comment about BMW's. But i figured they would have a better/brighter bulb. I guess i should have known that mitsu would skimp out on one of the most important safety features of a car.
