But you guys are right, they lowball you like crazy. Buy your car at 20% less then KBB trade in value, but then sell it back at Nada retail value
Buy for 10k. Sell for 17k GG..
So you went ahead and bought the X before you've sold your IX? If I'm reading that correctly then you should really be careful man. You can never count on selling your car/house/etc in a certain time frame because the market is too undpredictable. Hope you can swing both payments for a while.

If what you are saying is true (other 03's with the same mileage are selling at auction for $14k) then the dealer will take this figure and put in a little room in their offer to you (they don't want to get stuck with an auction value they have seen and then get hosed for less on yours at the auction) and should come to you with an offer on your trade for about 10% less than the auctions or around $12,500. Unless your evo is not in good shape (dents, wear, mods) then there is no reason that you should have been not be offered around $12,500. What's up bud?

Interesting, KBB has your car with your stated mileage at $13,500 in excellent condition or $12,500 in good condition (this is where most cars fall). Fair condition is $10,500 (this would include a modded car or chips, dents and dings, worn tires, etc).
