What is this evo worth?
2013 evo x GSR 60k miles ..in 2014 this car was in Nj priced at $27k at 27k miles ...now its in ny with 60k miles and they want (drumroll) $27,000!
what's it worth Edmunds says around 20k flat , kbb says 21-24 ...they say "light performance upgrades have Been done with genuine STM parts from NY " what would you pay? How much should I talk them down its a used car "auto house" just curious to whats fair cause 27k dosnt make sense to me

everything worth as much as the buyer willing to pay for.
So if its dime a dozen then KBB price can be accurate, if its custom build or tuned or anyother modification been done, then KB doesnt matter anymore.
This will be extreme, but i hope what i try to say goes through
You think i would sell my 2008 base GSR Evo X for $30K? KBB said it worth only or way less then $20K. reality i wouldnt even consider to sell my 2008 base GSR Rally Evo X for $55K
Its all about the condition, the build etc.
That is my opinion.

Expand your search radius and be willing to drive a car home. You can get a brand new 2015 FE in Florida for 32k so this is a bad idea. Aside from that find an EVO in a non snow state and drive it home. Cheaper - No salt damage - no markup like that idiotic place.
Anytime you can buy as far away from NY as possible, the better. They can demand anything they want for it because OMG AWD SNOW and they know all the bro's love that car.
Head south my friend.

KBB and NADA are not very accurate when it comes to certain cars, like the Evo. Try a nationwide search on https://www.cargurus.com/ then figure most sellers add on $1-3K so they can have some room to negotiate down.
And if you are willing to spend $27K on a used Evo, you should consider trying to get into a new 2015 GSR for ~30-31K. New car interest rates are lower, so your monthly payments would probably be about the same.

Each state is different. I also don't mind some bolt ons, suspension, full exhaust etc, check if everything checks out fine, check for oil leaks, put the car on the lift.
I can tell you that, it is better to buy a car from private owner, than a dealer. that's just me. and stay away from small dealers.
