750+

If you don’t want to get bullied by full a bolt on m3/4/5 or any amg c c63 or e63 on the highway (nyc usa ) you will need 680whp so I would say 750 whp is the limit of having too much.

I am looking for 1000whp for the summer and I think I will be fine. Not to much where I live touched my car when it made roughly 600 so I doubt anything will touch it with a 1000 lol

Up to the owner. You can have 2000whp and cruise around town uncomfortably.
otherwise you're just going to get all of our horsepower numbers as opinions.

How would 2000 whp be uncomfortable?

I've driven an Evo around town with 700hp. Between the lag and the stuff you have to give up to make 700hp, it was miserable

Well grandpa e85 and G series turbos to make 700whp are hardly laggy with todays technology.
If your making 700whp on low boost on a gt42 or something I could see that arguement.

Well, kiddo, it depends on your definition of lag. On the street, any is noticeable. Or you can pretend you don't

After all these years, i finally received my masters in Throttle Engineering

Took years of study & and some serious trial & error. A few accidents & broken bones occurred along the way

I feel like it all depends what parts you use to get the WHP, if it gives up a lot of drive ability and comfort, since we are talking about DD.

Have any of you actually driven a manual trans vehicle with +1500whp? The clutch required to hold that kind of power is not DD friendly at all. I have at least 5 1500whp cars in the shop right now and each one is a nightmare to move around without either stalling or dumping the clutch.

What clutch is in these cars. My car will (should) make over 1000 wheel and Exedy triple all day long. Even when I drove it with 600 whp on the triple for 3 years and it wasn't bad at all.

Lol sorry I missed this reply. Should have had Mike tune it instead of Jay then lol. If it had that much "lag" then something wasn't right. What was peek boost at if you don't mind me asking
