Just some complaining about my IX
First off, my exhaust rattles really bad. Its hard to shift sometimes because the shifter won't go into gear. When I floor it in any gear it feels like I'm driving with a parachute on the back. My check engine light keeps coming on even after mitsu service department tells me nothing is wrong. My seat creaks everytime I move. Ok that's all.

if its the stock exhaust it shouldn't rattle (never head mine do that) difficulty shifting, not sure whats going on there. Are u trying to shift at like 7000rpms?? or all the time its difficult. When u floor it and it feels slow ummm thats on you unless you have another evo to compare with. chk engine lights should not occur on a stock car assuming urs is stock. also what code is it giving you. creaky seat well mine is somedays others its not.

My seats dont creak and my can car be somewhat hard to shift when its cold but nothing worth getting mad about.i would have mitsu fix it if you keep getting a check engine light then you have some kind of problem.
I also have the problem sometimes with the shifter not wanting to really go into the gear. I'm going to try fixing that with a short throw shifter with new shifter bushings for both the shifter and underhood.

Well, if you haven't done any modifications, I'm willing to bet that the car is just as fast as it was in the beginning --- it's just that you're used to it now. But, I'll be the first to admit that Mitsu needs to put much more support into the service of their "Halo" car customers. If they can't fix simple problems, it would drive anyone away.
But on the other hand, our Arkansas roads aren't exactly kind to stiff suspensions, and that could be why your exhaust rattles. As far as your seat is concerned --- my Evo is an 06 MR, purchased in January of 06, and I'm 6'3" and 245 (I could've "walked-on" at U of A, if you know what I mean), and if my seat holds up to my fat ****, then I'd say just stop cannonballing into the drivers seat.
Other than that, I'd recommend finding a Mitsu dealer that actually cares. Superior Mitsu in Fayetteville has done a great job of caring for the Evo owners up here --- I guess we're just lucky.
