I won't...my ix is almost paid off and I'm still on a stock turbo with bolt ons
I am happy with my ix and have some nice plans for the future
the x will perform well I think but I do not like the looks at all...just not for me

I've thought about this long and hard (even when the IX came out) and here is my situation:
I have poured over $45k in my VIII over the course of 4 years. I worked hard to make that car as efficient as it can be. With the little mods it has, it can keep up with the best mildly modded IXs. I built this car. And it's my FIRST new car ever!
So I go to the dealer, and trade it in for $20k on another $45k car (add taxes). I am now $25k in debt yet AGAIN and I have to start all over again on the mod path which will probably add a little over $5k in mods just to get it where my VIII is now (I'm adding the weight of the X ) acceleration-wise, not to mention another 3-4 years of car payments.
Then the cycle starts over again when the XI comes out and is significantly better than the X and all the tuners start saying how "awesome" that car is.
When will it end? It doesn't. My thing is to pick a car.. pay it off and store it somewhere. After a few generations, THEN consider picking up a new car.

While the X looks to be a nice upgrade from the VIII and IX; I wouldn't trade my Evo for a X.
The monetary hit is just too big.
I would only trade my Evo for something significantly better then the X; like a 08 Vette with the LS3, a GTR, a used 996 TT, or a late model e55 (you get the idea).
I'm still scared the 10 won't be as reliable as the 4G63 platforms. I just don't like Dodge anything. Not only is it the first run of a completely new platform but its still completely unproven. They don't even have an ECU hack for it. Once the bugs are worked out and low mileage used ones are available ... That is the time to ****** one up.
I don't think many people are buying the 10 for track **** duties and thats what it was designed for. If people are buying them for comfort then they wasted alot of money. For comfort I'd rather have an S4 or CTS-V.
Until I see a 10 with brownbo's the driver of the car will get no love from me. However if you did purchase the 10 for track **** duty I will be the first one to point you by!

I've only had my IX for two months now. I bought one of last two that were still new off the showroom floor, because of the fact that the X was coming and I didn't like it. Its grown on me a little bit but I would never trade a 1 year only car for a much more mainstream one. If I win the lottery I'll buy the last gen STI before I buy either one of the current ones.
