removing the tranny not that bad.
Well it was time for a tranny rebuild or so I thought.
It wasn't going into 1st or 2nd gear for some reason. I thought it was my tranny. After looking up all reason what it could be on here. I just said screw it take it off and send it to Buschur to have the Bushwacker done to it. Well taking off the tranny really isn't all that bad. It is more time consuming than anything. Lot of stuff you have to move to get it out. Yeah and it is really cool to have a full snap on tool box full of the right tools to do the job right. Had to buy one tool a "slide hammer" which was only 40 bucks. But all said and done it was really smooth and kinda of easy.
Ok after I got it off and taking off the brackets so it can be shipped I was looking where the shift cables go on the tranny. What I saw was like "Ooohhhh thats why my tranny wasn't letting me shift all the way over to get it into them gears." The part that pulls the shift arm in and out has a nub on it to push it. Well that little nub got wore out and it was getting hung up and wasn't pulling it all the way out. So I could do one of 2 things or both. Replace that one part and not send it out or just have Buschur go head and fix it and have a bad *** tranny. Which since i have it out, i might as well send it to Buschur and have him work his magic.
I was planning on doing it sometime, I just didn't think I was going to be doing it this soon. So I am just going to be roughly without a car for 2 weeks. Good thing I am getting a tax return so I can do this. But I would of wanted to do a turbo kit. (FP3065 kit from Buschur)
But hey, Good things come to those who wait. right?
So anyone that is going to do this the instructions I found on here really helped out a lot. The site I went to was www.evomoto.com. They have a great write up on "How to take off your tranny to do your clutch." So I just used that for my guide.

Will do.
I put the bolts, brackets, and bolts in bags and labeled them. So it should be no prob putting it back in i hope. Other lining up the tranny to the motor, make sure they butt up right.
Oh yeah for got to mention that we didn't have a car lift.

You are not going to believe how much better your tranny shifts. I had the Bushwacker service done last fall and Dan Buschur told me it will feel like a different car and he was exactly right! Shifts soooo smooth now i love it! Some of the best money i have spent on my Evo!
