I suck and now need advice.
You don't suck we all make mistakes.
For bigger accidents like this I would go through the insurance company and ask them for some good body shops. If you're afraid about the body shop doing a terrible job, just choose one that allows you to drop by every once in a while so you can check the progress of the repairs.
Of course this is all speculation and you should definitely get an estimate of all the damage first.
I would also talk with the people that owned the fences that you drove through. Let them know what happened and hopefully they'll be understanding about the whole situation.

Thanks for the suggestions and support. I have filed a claim with my insurance company. My first claim in the 11 years I've been driving. They said that I could take it wherever i wanted to have the work done so I don't think that that should be an issue. I did talk to the owner of the fence. I am in a very rural area and it was a very old stretch of fencing that went on for maybe 100 feet or so along the edge of a field that is part of a farm. The owner was very nice about the whole thing and didn't even want any of my information or insurance claim number. They were just happy I came forward. They only said that if it would make me feel better I could stop by and remove the rest of the fence when it's warmer out. As far as pictures go the car is covered in snow right now but I could get some posted when the snow if off of the car. I guess I might just take it where my family always goes. They're close and seem to do very good work but can take several months to do it. I just know that they've never worked on an evo before but I guess I could trust them. I'm still not sure though. Oh well I guess I'll just figure it out. Having it be declared totalled would be the optimal outcome, although I'm not sure it's a probability. She'll always be damaged goods to me now. We'll see though. I'll let you all know.
It's always a mystery until the insurance adjuster takes a look at it. Damaged goods yes but we don't need another totaled Evo in the world. Take it somewhere that has worked on Evos before and you'll be in good shape.
Also, despite my hatred for Carfax, take notes and or pictures of the damage so you can explain it to a future buyer or upon trade in at a dealer. If the accident does get reported to Carfax somehow, at least you can explain the actual damage accurately.

Not exaclty sure where Lehigh Valley is, but if it's anywhere close to Pittsburgh, I would highly recommend the place I went to. I was in a similar position, but it all turned out okay. Just make sure you tell them exactly what the car means to you.
They had to have the Sickens (paint company) come out just because they wanted to be 100% sure that they matched my paint correctly. And they did. First time I've ever seen aftermarket paint match factory.
Pm me if you want the name and number.

Were you on the Stock Advans? if so what was the temperature? I know ice is something any tire can not fight, unless you had studs. Not trying to put any blame on you but your insurance adjuster might check.
If you are picky, hopefully the car is totaled. I can't imagine dealing with a body shop!!! Get a new EVO!

Sorry to hear about your accident. What tires did you have on at the time?
I can recommend an excellent high performance repair shop thats not too far from you if you are interested. I know they have fixed up a couple EVO's thru insurance claims and their work is top notch, I wouldn't recommend them otherwise. Shoot me a PM if you want the info.
Good luck.
