I can't believe that I am actually typing this but I need some advice because I have crashed my evo.
I was driving home the other night and there is one stretch of road that goes downhill leading to a sharp turn that heads over a bridge that spans perhaps 20 feet. Unaware that the temperature had decreased significantly since I had started my trek and that the bridge now had a layer of ice on it I carried which was evidently a bit more speed than I should have through the corner. Once I got onto the bridge my car turned sideways and slid at what seemed to be about a 30 degree angle for the span of the bridge. Once across the bridge my worst nightmare came to fruition. In what seemed like the blink of an eye I was sliding off the road and fell off what was about a 1 foot drop and into somebody's front yard and through a thick wooden fence post with a wire mesh fence. I proceded to slide towards a tree in the yard that I was now in, but was able to correct away from it, however I then crashed through another large, thick wooden fence post and back up onto the road. Careening through the fence sent a shower of spark around my car as the wire fencing proceded to scratch every body panel of my car. As you can imagine I have some front end damage as well and it appears that my front driver side wheel has been pushed back several inches. Amazingly there are also chunks of wood wedged between my wheel and tire yet the tire has lost no pressure.
The question I have is if people don't even trust Mitsubishi to change their oil then where in the world should i take my car to be repaired? I am in the Lehigh Valley area of Pennsylvania so any suggestions in the area would be highly appreciated. I just have bad feelings that whoever I take it to would even forget to replace things like the front under air dam which was completely torn off. And just that they generally wouldn't know what to do because in all likelihood this would be their first encounter with an evo. It sucks because I feel as though it will never be the same after being repaired. But I guess those are the consequences I must live with for driving my car off of an embankment and through a few large wooden fence posts. I suck.
The real kicker is that I was only driving my car because my jeep was completely out of gas.

Lesson learned. Glad your alright. Save yourself some money and source the panels/parts on your own, get them painted, and find somebody to mount them. Suspsension/chassis damage is more difficult obviously, but the cosmetic stuff is really where you can save some money.
You have 3 choices: Find a shop that deals with Evos in your area (Ala Buschur etc), Take it to Mitsu, Find a body shop that is reputable... MOST areas have like 500+ body shops, it isn't that hard to find one that does a good reliable job, the guy we've taken our cars to for the past 3-4 years does a wonderful job.

TurboTrix is East of you (near I-78, 287, GSP) in NJ. They would be solid with the mechanicals and could probably recommend a good body shop for the cosmetics.
Good luck & keep the shiney side up.

Insurance will give you some options of body shops local. Or you can find someone who is approved by your insurance on your own. As far as mechanical repairs CBRD is in PA so I'm sure Chad will take great care of your car and make sure everything is running 110%
CBRD FTW

i spun out around a turn that had a patch on random sand in and went backwards threw a fence and up a curb at over 100 lol not one of my best moments but luckily it was just scratched up took out my wing and cwest rear bumper and a tire. good thing i was on my track wheels with ****ty tires haha. i just pieced it all together myself i had no suspension damage luckily. insurance will probably give u the benefit of the doubt if u have a clean record. unlike me they dont take kindly when i call haha
