I believe the car crushing law only applies in the LA area. Its probably only a matter of time before all of Cali adapts it though. As for the thread, we've all been there. I've owned my Evo for only two months now and I've had to ignore countless morons that want to race me. I just look at it like, "I already know I can beat that car, so why waste the gas and stoop to his level?" I don't mind people that "get on it" up to the speed limit, I do that but otherwise no street racing whatsoever. I respect my cars too much to wreck them or get them towed away. Just learn from this experience man, thats all you can do.

Sorry to hear about your misfortune. Did you at least beat the other two cars off the line? As you mentioned above, we all try to keep it at the track.

My motto is always take it to the track. If they wont race you there its not worth the expense of getting caught, f'n your car up, or killing yourself or someone else. Sounds like you have your head on straight.

At least no one was hurt. You learned your lesson. Don't beat yourself up for it. We all make mistakes. I think most evo owners have been "caught in the moment" of an adrenaline rush; and look down at the speedo and realize they have overdone it. I know I have. I did it this weekend; and wasn't racing anyone. I was on the highway; hammered it in fourth-fifth and looked down...110. Not cool, but the temptation is always there with these cars. It is all about control and staying level headed when someone rolls up next to you and wants to go. "Just say no." lol.

i dont think those cars were crushed because of them racing. it was more along the lines of they had stolen engines and other parts on them.

and i think i would have a very nice lawyer if my car was threating to get crushed. i also dont see how they can crush your car for street racing but dui drivers dont even get close to that.

also they waste all this money on trying to prevent street racing when dui's take more lives in a month or two then street racing does all year.

i think they need to crack down more on duis then street racing.

The cars were crushed for having stolen parts, not for street racing persay.

I have had the C&W driving tix and they are not fun

Driving on the highway from work yesterday I saw a Pontiac Trans Am WSG in the right lane I was in the left. The center lane was heavily packed with traffic. When I passed, I passed it going 5 over the Speed limit 65 mph zone. Then he proceeded to cut off two cars to get behind me then flew up my tail, swerved into the other lane and pulled a ricer fly-by on me. I wanted to call the cops myself on that a$$hole
