From my initial test day with my Evo, I knew that before I could be truly competitive with such accomplished cars and drivers such as Nils, I was going to need power. At first I was going to take care of the suspension, tires, and brakes, because without those, you will not be competitive no matter how much power you have. Unfortunately, at the first test weekend of the new year, the stock motor took a turn for the worse on the third lap of the weekend. The good news is, now I have the perfect opportunity to take care of the power side of things.

It will be a mad rush to get everything done in time for the Redline Time Attack season opener, but the Evo will be receiving a 2.3L AMS short block and GT3076R turbo kit! I will update this thread as the project progresses on what will be a very mean little road racing motor.

Debating between blue and white time attack strip as well. The blue looks really cool in photoshop, but not sure how well it would show up in real life.

Thanks man! I will probably be at VIR, but not in this Evo as transportation costs are too expensive. I am supposed to be driving one or two other cars for the east coast stuff though.

The blue strip on the wheels looks really good to me. I like the way it changes up a style that is over populated right now. Maybe Gloss Black and Bright blue.
